The ATI acquisition has brought great expertise to AMD along with new ideas and it will begin to show with the new product releases in the next 6 months or so and they will regain the upper hand and win more secondary vendors back and away from both intel and nvdia

AMD has nothing in the pipe to regain the upper hand. They can't get any of their new stuff to work, and at this point the 'new' stuff is already obsolete, having been leap-frogged by Intel. AMD is dead meat. Intel is simply keeping them around for anti-anti-trust insurance. AMD had a run for a few years there, but the party's over.
