The current dual-core chips in the market are still underutilized by current software, most programs don't even feature multicore code. Quad-core chips are way too ahead of their time. AMD is doing the smart thing to wait until there is market.

I see a market price of at least 25 in the not so distant future. The company is selling at less than twice their total equity, virtually unheard of for such a market shaker. Intel on the other hand is selling at approximately 3.5 of equity.

Despite dual-core and coming quad-core processors, Intel is still the 'big gorilla' in the processor market. The harder AMD runs the behinder it gets.

I've heard it all before.

Intel is awesome. AMD runs hot. AMD crashes. AMD are not good for servers. The list goes on and on.

Yes, I do admit ...

AMD has been beat down by INTEL over the past year plus and is in the midst of a pricing war. There were very good reasons for the price to decrease from $40 per share. At $10, it's much more reasonable with the long-term upside. AMD has shown that i...

For the past 2 years, AMD has benefitted from Intel's lousy product lineup. That situation is now reversed...

I love amd and their cpu's, but I think the new intel conroe chip could swing the home cpu market share back towards them.

Intel's product roadmap in the next couple of years looks very strong. AMD needs to execute well just to stay in the race in that period, but that's just not happening.

Barcelona yields and clock speeds just aren't ramping like they need ...
