AMD from being not known to normal users is improving on its brand. Intel is making equally good chips, but AMD having much smaller market share and being a smaller company has more room for growth.

1. AMD is still small and can easily grow.

AMD has gotten too beaten up because of the Intel price war and the expensive acquisition of ATI. Looking down the road, ATI could help AMD offer a good CPU/GPU combination - better price and margin wise than what Intel can offer and better graphics...
