The bad news is out. It'll take some time but this company knows how to compete. Their new chip due out this summer together with their 65nm technology will turn the bad news into good news/profits/share.

I did the case analysis in my Strategy class last semester regarding AMD and INTL. AMD was clearly better because:
1. AMD is still small and can easily grow.
2. AMD have survived 38 years since 1969.
3. AMD have merged ATI, a grahpic chip company and...

Perhaps the purchase of ATI wasn't about gaming graphics. Perhaps it was really about multi-core supercomputers. AMD stock price appears to be near a bottom. I'm in.
