Amgen is a premier biotechnology company with excellent longer term growth prospects. However, it is currently being priced like a value stock with little or no growth prospects. Apparently the board of directors agrees that their stock is undervalued as they authorized a $5 billion share repurchase program yesterday (12/13/2006).
