+ Watch APWR
on My Watchlist
The company provides distributed power generation systems and micro power grids for industrial companies, and manufactures wind turbines.
I can't imagine how this shadow company can last much longer off the OTC market. You don't have to look far to find bad recent examples of suspect Chinese companies, SDTH is a perfect example. They highlight what's so horribly wrong with many small Chinese companies. Transparency is nonexistent and management cares little about anyone but themselves. Expect suits to be filed soon against APWR.
I understand your caution with chinese stocks, but I'm wondering if people of this pedigree are in the habit of running shadow companies. Financials may not be reported correctly, but I doubt this is a paper company. One of the members was a former GE employee, hence the connection with the GE deal. This is out of the box thinking, but I would think it's hard to fake credentials like this, or someone would have called them out. This company is not a fraud. They may have misrepresented themselves, but they aren't a "pretend" shell company with 15 employees simulating a real company. After they get their numbers right, I think at this price they are worth a look. Taken from Apower's WebsiteListed below is the senior management team at A-Power Energy.
