The company behind the BlackBerry, Research In Motion provides a range of wireless hardware, software, and services.
BES 10 coming in May. Revs from this alone should justify todays prices. 55% of Z10 owners have been converts from IOS and Android according to Q4 conf. call which only had 2 weeks of sales of BB10. DOD decision coming in October....could be a huge win for BES for MDM. Blackberry's vision on "mobile computing" may come to fruition as it's not echo system centric. QNX, DLNA, and Carrier 4g connectivity does not require a specific brand cohesion. Lots of catalysts and a cheap stock....would not wanna be short right now.
Thank you for sharing, forexnutca. Would you be kind and take a moment to elaborate on the "mobile computing vision" that BlackBerry is attempting to bring to fruition? Thank you in advance for your valuable time and your reply.
Z10 sales have been poor, as execution by Thor was horrible in the US (great phone, poor execution- advertising). Under new management and board, I think this company can turn things around. QNX, ECC, and BBMX continue to be the un-found diamonds in the rough for this company. If they get back to their roots and provide high quality, secure, enterprise products like OS 10.2, Z30, and BES 10 already do, this company could very well do well in the future if management can execute. I went through the IBM of the 80's, and this feels like the same thing all over again. I'm still on board, and continue to buy shares, although I feel like the last shareholder left.....other than Fairfax.
