Rimm lost a lot of customers to the iphone 5 and some of the Android based phones. Many customers agree to a 2 year plan when they get a new phone. Although there is some potential for Rimm to win back and/or keep customers, I personally think many have moved on. Basides, a new phone doesn't make for automatic customers. Look back when Nokia was the leader in small cell phones, or when the Motorolla RAZR came out on Verizon (it was terrible on VZs network, despite being great on AT&Ts). Even Apple, with all of it's iPhone 5 hype had a growing track record of prior phones and a growing devoted crowd of followers from prior models. I don't think customers who were left in the dark without being able to use their phones for an extended period of time will quickly go back to Blackberrys.
