The company behind the BlackBerry, Research In Motion provides a range of wireless hardware, software, and services.
Too much has to go right for this one to be saved from oblivion and my money says no way.
Besides having BB10 sell very well, please tell me the other items that need to go well?
What does selling very well mean to you? RIMM needs to garner 23% market share with better than 35% gross margin just to stay in the game. Then it has to negotiate a competitive deal for future hardware and hope that it can maintain the developers it has been courting so heavily over the last year at tremendous expense. If it accomplishes the above, it then must increase R&D to keep up with Apple and Google future designs. A facetious reply like 'it just needs to sell well' is like saying all it needs to do is make money.
