I agree with cascadehigh. How much repeat business can you expect for this retailer? My guess is that nearly everyone who was ever going to make/purchase a bear at build a bear has already done so and will probably not go back. For that reason BBW was a pick for Chuck Jaffe’s “stupid investment of the week” show.

We do not need to hear it from Chuck to find out it is a stupid investment, just look at the insiders, they are all selling the stock!

Point taken, I just figured Chuck Jaffe has more credibility than I do.

I disagree. I have 2 younger boys and they have bought multiple bears and then we have returned to purchase additional cloths for them. My 18 year old daughter also had her birthday party there. her and her friends had a blast. They also bring out new animals to stuff based on the hottest movies/books.

Point taken teamfalkner, after I made that post I asked a few kids that I know two questions: first, have you or anyone you know built a bear at a build a bear work shop?, and if yes will you go back? Based on my limited survey many kids only had a desire to build a bear once. That being said I was surprised however by how many people wanted to or already had built multiple bears at build a bear work shop that already had gone once. The people who had built one or more bears and still wanted to go back and build another one sited many of the things teamfalkner said. That being said, I am not willing to change my CAPS pick from underperform to outperform based on anecdotal evidence. There seems to be some good data that says same store sales are not good for BBW, so I think my thesis is still valid. Citing: http://advis...s_Bears.aspxhttp://onlin...od=wsjcrmain

build a bear is still branching out its business in ireland, candada, more stores in the united states, ect. I think there are plenty of bears to be bought
