...because the U.K. economy is worse
...because with financial stocks I'm more inclined to sell the rumors and sell the news
...because they're rumored to be interested in Lehman Brothers
...because they're losing market share to JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and other banks in financing M&A and LBO activity
...because they are suffering in a much harsher European credit market
...because I'd rather have $10,000 worth of any kind of fertilizer than $10,000 worth of Barclay's shares, because 'poo will hold more value
