But the dude says it all - polystyrene is not something that is real common recyclable. I don't even think its something that is used of as more than any of the main recyclable plastics: PETE, LDPE, HDPE or Polypropylene. I think its one of the least common plastics that are used... just my speculation.I also don't believe its very profitable. Considering 1 ton of used plastic bottles sell for how much?? 27 dollars I've heard on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange? (not sure how to find out, someone help/verify) you could spend more than 27 dollars just moving the ton from point A to point B.lastly, because PS is soo stupid, many companies try not to use it, or states ban its use... some PS like containers are now HDPE, and some things (like CD- Jewel cases) are made from PS... so even the end consumer may not even be selective enough to seperate this "one of the many" recyclable plastics"... it just seems economically not viable. Pretty silly.
looks like they keep issuing preffereds... hmm... it sure would be nice for these guys to actually expand with current earnings rather than dilute shareholder equity... most preferreds do convert to common BTW....The only real technical board member on the subject of EPS recycling, Mr. Katz left... does anyone know how many shares he has, or what price he got them at? do you know he can sell them now and not have to report it as he is no longer an insider... or can quickly lose the "insider" status. The 3rd issue of preferreds were financed to a company located in Dubai... not America... shady? What is the companies current revenue this quarter? What is expected at its current valuation? no earnings, so whats the price to book ratio? The balance sheet says "StyroSolve" is $10 a gallon, and the solution is non toxic and biodegradable. Did you know corn ethanol will dissolve Styrofoam? its non toxic, and biodegradable too. yet "StyroSolve" is $10 a gallon, could the company be inflating this asset to try and hold a positive equity position? Gasoline will also dissolve Styrofoam as well.do your DD on this one and you might find some striking answers to these question. Or better yet, may even stumble upon some even dirtier -- dirk... yea...that's right -- dirtier dirt. I can't say this company is full of %&@$ because people get offended. It happened to me on MITI, and low and behold... look at MITI now. Go ahead... complain... disagree.... "whine" & moan... ignore the facts and blame the poster...
Once again we have someone who has read a VERY little about recycling and has NO clue as to what they are talking about. Just to clue you in the wastepaper market started off the same way EPS (styrofoam) has. And look at the millons of dollars made in that industry. Here is why a company such as Blue Earth will succeed. Our landfills are filled with EPS as much as 30%. Government is looking at ways to solve this problem and BESN may just be one of them. Also, when was the last time you looked to see what these items are made from: eyeglasses, ice scrapers, snow shovels, CD cases, plastic cups, all of the cups used for your morning joe, car parts and thousands of other products you and I use everyday. From what I have learned about this company is that it is very cash rich, has many other products and is the technology for EPS for the future. I would buy & buy alot. I did.
lol, i made money... that's the purpose of investing, business, trading not over thought investment ideas. It doesn't matter - i could have no idea what i am talking about once so ever, but if i've made money, are your taking the opposite position, then well... i must ask... did i take YOUR money???
