Baidu has similar advantages (habit, self-strengthening algorithims, and economies of scale) in Chinese search as Google (GOOG) does in the rest of the world. It is growing quickly and absurdly profitable. Competition is rising (but has huge barriers to overcome) and investors fear slowing growth in China, but Baidu is still in the early days of monetizing its mobile position.
