Wow, BIDU is trading at 40 times revenues and 171 times earnings. That ain't too good. They are trading at approximately 15 times assets, and that isn't that great either. And 38 times sales. Goodness, do people realize that this company is pretty much all hype with no fundamentals? Just because they are in China doesn't mean the stock will do well. Personally, I think the Chinese economy may be in trouble over the long-term, and there is no way BIDU has a foundation to avoid being hurt. This stock is prone to just about anything because it is so darn high, and one of these days it will be hurt very badly. Being called the "Google of China" isn't enough to keep the stock price at ridiculous levels, and people will realize that in the future. Heck, the Google of America isn't as overvalued as this one.

Well said. I am waiting for the idiots out there to drive the price back up in the 90's so I can short this pig.

I SURE WON'T GIVE BACK THE MONEY I MADE ON THIS IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS.JUST SOLD AGAIN AT 90 AND WILL BUY BACK IN THE MID 70'S. EVERYONE'S GOTTA HAVE ONE OF THESE SWINGERS. YOU DON'T HAVE TO MARRY THEM.

I wish I knew how to short a stock...

Uh, a P/E of 679 now? Do any of you know how much growth BIDU will have to experience to even get close to justifying this? My pick isn't doing so well right now, probably because BIDU is the hot Chinese stock. There is absolutely no way the stock can sustain such a high level, period.

Just curious. Would you recommend shorting this stock now that it is in the 120's?
