Viral-reactivation induced PML (progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy) is a dangerous disease now associated with Tsybari treatment, and the recent report of two more patient deaths has led to a precipitous sell-off. However, one hopes that with stringent patient screening these tragic occurrences can be eliminated. It would be naive to think that such screening protocols are not being aggressively developed. Doubly so since Rituximab treatment for lymphoma has similarly seen cases of viral-reactivated PML. This problem will be solved.
