Recs
I have being watching Badger Meter for more than a year. This company is one of the only company that makes water meters and other related technology. In the last one year I have seen the stock double in price, when most other company are seeing their stock price fall to less then have threr value. I see great growth potential for Badger Meter in coming months with the shortages of water and the move to conserve water in particularly in the southwestern area of US.
I'm seeing more and more municipalities move away from using meters - or at least from reading the meters they've installed. The place where I live just divides the entire town's utility usage among every utility customer using a percentage based on the type of building they're in. Many apartment complexes and multiple-household facilities are doing the same thing. Even the ones that pretend to read meters but don't (like my town) are installing the cheapest possible meters, not the ones made by badger. It discourages conservation among people who realize what they're doing, but it saves the city money because they don't have to pay the costs of having meters read and still get the costs of the gas/water/electricity covered by their customers.
