Fuel prices hurt transportation, especially trucking, more than most. I'm thinking that trains will be the winners in this mess-specifically Burlington-Northern. I see their trains everywhere and Warren Buffett likes this company over the others.

dispite how this company treats their employees... rail transportation is in the rise... the bnsf stock has outperformed many of it's earlier projections and has had magor increases in the last year and with the cost of fuel more and more shippers ...

The high price of fuel will cause companies to utilze cheap transportation for goods. The railroads can ship cheaper across the county. So truckers can pick up at the drop off points for the railroad and make deliveries.

Efficiencies are dramatically improved in the Railroad Industry. They destroy trucking in fuel costs which will not be going down period. They are expanding aggressively and will see increased business for years to come. It may seem expensive now ...
