This thumbs down has little to do with the leverage or asset quality of the property portfolio and more to do with the asset class and market price. Headwinds continue for commercial real estate, especially office properties. Yet value is not materializing as the more well-capitalized REITs had hoped. At a 6.13% FFO yield and a 2.86% dividend yield, there are not enough returns here to beat the market.
