Buffett's cash hoard has me a little bit concerned, but this is a man who has built an empire out of patience. As Wally Weitz said in the most recent issue of Forbes, "it never pays to bet against Buffett." It's easy to show what a bargain is Berkshire is right now based on the cash on the books and the operations of the businesses currently in the portfolio. The question is: Can Warren deploy the cash?I think he can, and I think the market will give him a pretty good opportunity to do so over the next 12-24 months.

I would agree. MSFT had a similar dilemma; they just couldn't find anything to buy that would be nearly as profitable as MSFT's current operations. Unlike Mr. Gates, though, Buffett doesn't have to worry about a shareholder revolt. He's willing to wait it out, and as soon as the market softens a bit, he'll pounce like a septuagenarian panther.

Buffet is actively looking for good investment oppurtunities, as seen by his recent aggressive buying of USG stock on the open market. BRK now owns 1/5 of the company.

Mad that a 16 grand increase (at time of writing) only gets you a score of 3.46!!!
