Look guys, I’ve been around during the tech bubble and am experiencing the financials, but this is the Citigroup for God sakes!!!
I understand that since it dropped below $5, it may go even lower and we may not see the $55 any time soon, but THIS IS BARGAIN PRICE for long term investors. You will kick yourself in the @$$, if you could, in 3 to 4 years from now for not getting-in at these prices.
people like you said the same thing about bear stearns and lehman.
I agree it is a great long term buy, if Citi goes under were all in for a shock, if we look at the trouble Lehman's caused going bust Citi would be 10X worse, the gov will simply not let this happen. Also it has an acceptable capital cushion - lots of this share decline is on pure scare mongering and not truly reflective of its fundamental position. yes it has made some big mistakes of late but not one's which will end it as a business.
Be smart and wait! You haven't seen bargain yet!!!
