C is tracking the other banks and the market downward. If we get news of a Fed intervention next week, a year end rally may still be possible. With the US dollar gaining strength, this would appear to be the perfect time to announce QE3.
Since the banks get the money first, C and the other big banks would rise faster than the overall market.
In the absence of QE3 the financial sector will likely underperform the market.
