Large packaged food company. Good and safe bet for the current market as it provides basic food products that people have to buy no matter what state the economy is in. The stock is currently trading at a low P/E of about 11.5 and yields a rich dividend of around 3.6% Recently sold its commodity trading and merchandising operations to reduce it's risk and announced a repurchase of approximately $900 million of its shares during the first half of fiscal 2009. Analysts estimate a solid 8% growth over the next 5 years which is pretty good in the present economy. I think this stock is a low risk play for the current tough market and should deliver good returns over the long term.
