I plan on banking loads of accuracy on this one as, over time, it becomes more and more and more irrelevant.

Yup - paying nearly two BILLION for CNET sounds like a great way to grow. I've hit BNET, Chow and TV.Com a couple of times and they are all thoroughly okay. What do you think is going to happen to those sites when they get merged into a multibillion dollar behemoth with more bureaucracy than the Soviet Union? And I'm sure we can all trust what we read on those sites now that they have a big media boss, right? When giant advertisers have a new electronic product, or CBS puts out some piece of crap TV show, you think you're gonna get a nice, trusty, independent review? Riiiiight. It may take a decade or two, but the new world order of the Internet, which levels the playing field, favors the demise of big media. Only thing that can save them is if somehow they cheat, or little guys are taxed/priced out, or the like. Oh, and get a load of shows like The New Adventures of Old Christine, or this horse feces where Jay Mohr is a dad who has to return to dating. Har har! That's rich!
