according to their numbers they should be booming-- so why are they apparently collapsing?

Because according to Warren Buffett and Benjamin Graham, Mr. Market is a manic depressant.

Buy when everyone else is fearful.

Sell when everyone else is euphoric.

I have done both with this stock and made good money over the past couple of years.
