Comcast services are much too expensive. They will not be able to maintain those prices, given the competition (and better prices) of the satellite-companies, FiOS and the recent FCC-approval of a rule that would ban exclusive agreements that cable TV operators have with appartment buildings (we are talking 25 million households that have no choice regarding their TV-service provider).Last but not least: Comcast has terrible service. I have heard (and experienced) poor customer and technical support. As an example: There was a technical problem that resulted in my not being able to use the internet, phone or watch cable-TV just after the initial installation. A technician repaired the problem a week later. I was billed for that. I refused to pay and complained. The customer service promised to not bill me and actually reduce my next bill by $20 dollars. I never received the $20 dollars. However, everytime I call, I get promised again and again. If I were not living in an appartment, I would have switched to a different provider long ago.I looked at their prices for HD as well. What they do is: They lure customers in at a low price for three months and then significantly increase the rates thereafter. You will find this in the fine-print. Long term, that is not customer friendly. It certainly make customers look for a better provider.
