There is one Chipotle close by to where my house. I have never seen the place fill up and most of the time 60% empty. For me, the food was not that good. The management said no store has been closed. I think for now they just trying to keep the stat looking good.

Would you really short a stock based on a single store and one personal experience? This is a massive chain and I've been in several that were packed.- Rafe

Investing based on what you see at stores is a very bad idea. Sample bias. The numbers tell the tale. My biggest gainer over the past few years came from a store that always looked empty to me. The numbers told the real story.

I hate posts like this, zero research, an empty opinion, and five people have recommended it... I guess opinions like this give the objective people opportunity to caplitalize. You would do well on Wall Street.

This would be the Chipotle that I go to eat at - I get tired of waiting for my carnitas with pinto beans burrito. No wait = great for me!

Well, I lieve in NJ and work in NYC. So, I see a solid contrast to stores in NY vs NJ. In NY, there are waits, and sometimes I feel, the could add 3-4 more in walking distance from my work. Currently, there are 3, but not enough. On the other hand, the Chipotle stores in NJ are relatively less crowded. But they still do well, just not as well as the City. But you have to remember, rents in NJ are much lower. Rents could be even more lower in area where you found the store empty. So the company is still making a lot of money. Their average weekly sale I beleive is 30k. That's not a difficult number to achieve with 40% occupancy either.I believe the NYC stores could easily top 30k in a day, and they are doing atleast 5 times the average national sales numbers. So, its not fair to compare a suburban store with a City Store. This company is a cash magnet!!! I wish the stock price fell to $60. Probbaly wont happen though.
