Chipotle has been growing earnings like wildfire, from 6.13 in 2004 to 70.56 in 2007 and it's been richly rewarded. But in bear markets and recessions the previous bull's biggest winners are often the biggest losers. AAPL and GOOG have been hit hard and so has Chipotle.

With a P/e of 45 a price to free cash flow of 28.20 and a price to sales of nearly 3, despite it's recent big fall Chipotle still looks awfully expensive. And the news doesn't get much better, with high gas and a slowing economy Americans are likely to cut back on spending which includes eating out. Chipotle's 4thQ earnings only indicated more problems by including the tidbit that their same store comps (which are currently above 10) were "in the low- to mid-single-digit range" in 2008.

Now that their growth is slowing and the market and economy have turned against them I think there's strong risk of an additional 10-20% cut in CMG's stock price..
