One of those Uggs, those are nice and chewy."Husband: "Sure... hey, remember when we used to pay hard-earned money for 'organic sustainable burritos', on purpose?"Wife: "Yeah, what on earth were we thinking? Seriously, ORGANIC BURRITOS? Is that like farm-raised pizza? Cruelty-free Snickers bars?"Everyone: "HA HA HA!!"(but the laughter is only to conceal their tears)-FIN-

I can't believe no one has replied to this! That's very funny, congratulations and a rec from me. And yes, we will endure a recession coupled with rampant inflation, much like the 70's. But it probably won't be like the 30's. Why not? Because it took a lot of socialism to make the Great Depression. A whole lot. People have forgotten how anti-freedom, anti-market, and arbitrary FDR was. He was like a pacifistic Stalin, starving his own subjects. We will have bad leaders, but they probably won't be that bad.As for the organic burritos, they don't cost any more than anything else, except eating at home. Try a sub from Subway, or a value meal from Burger King, or what have you: everything's $6 now.

Flea, Chipolte is overpriced mexican chow for Yuppies. Fed the the family (4) at the Bell(tacobell) for $11, $12 at Wendys, and $14 @ Subway this week while travelling. Chipolte will be going down in my opinion. I think Kramer on MadMoney is wrong on Chipolte. ... And I agree with you DrBling wrote a funny one!

You guys are morans cmg is one of the cheapest casual dining plays out there and their business model is flawless. I dont know why your grouping it with fast-food names??? Thats really doesnt make much sense. After this recent market pullback cmg is a buy.

Hysterical write up! I disagree with the thumbs down. There are 4 Chipotle's in my area and there are always lines to the door at each of them.. The food is excellent and you get a lot for your money. Still a great pitch and a rec from me even though I'm on the other side!

Umm, morans...Have any of you actually checked out the caloric content of those monster burritos? That $6 burrito can easily feed 2.5 people, maybe even three if you get chips & guac. (Perhaps the reason we think a 1400 calorie burrito is designed to feed 1 person is the same reason we have an obesity problem?)While the stock still may be overpriced right now, if it dips back down anywhere below $75 it's a solid buy IMHO.But please don't think that its a bad stock based on the fact that it costs too much and will fail because of this. Flea is right - you can't really get a decent meal (fast food or otherwise) for less than $6 anymore. And have you actually TASTED one of those burritos? I mean - good God people. Its like sex for the tastebuds.

I thinks Chipotle is great food, but not as good as some dive Mexican places I have around me. Seriously, those places have amazing tacos and burritos at two-thirds the cost!

Fleabagger, read a book. Hoover was president when the Depression struck. And it wasn't "socialism" that caused it.FDR was a pretty capable president despite some glaring flaws.

FleaBagger - No socialism from the current administration? HA!What do you call the federal reserve buying $29 billion of Bear Stearns' bad loans? What do you call the federal reserve TAF program? What do you call an unlimited credit line from the US Treasury to Fannie/Freddie?What do you call the SEC banning naked short-selling of Fannie/Freddie and 17 other financial stocks?

Yes, and the "stimulus package: Money for Nothing(and money we the government doesn't even have. Yet another addition to the debt to appease the masses. Printing money backed by nothing is starting to hurt the country badly but not too many people are paying attention to that.) I got an idea! How about we pay people based on production! And maybe we can follow the Constitution too!
