1) Estimate of future growth have significant impact on my valuation of COP. If I use average analysts' growth estimate if about 7% for the next five years, COP is currently priced slightly below its FMV of $67. However, its historical BVPS growth in...

because Buffett said so. With a PE of 6, how low can you get? Clearly low down risk and the major oil refiner in the nation and they are not building them anymore. Upside risk is strong

Oil isn't finished. It's only taking a break. The continued belief that the Saudis can open the tap and make up any supply deficiency is technically wrong. World demand is using up world supply. New oil is not being found fast enough. COP is the ...

Barrons recd. this big time 12/18 it's now down from 73 to 66 and time to buy. I don't blindly buy on Barrons recs, but the fundamentals of their argument are compelling. I may be in for a ride down for a bit. I'm holding on. It is the cheapest big s...

Conoco Phillips trades at 6X earnings and is wildly profitable. Compare this to their peers such as Chevron (9X) , Exxon Mobil or BP (both around 11X) and you see a bargain. Throw in a decent dividend (current yield is 2.2%) and you have a nice lon...

COP has the lowest P/E of the SuperMajors and as Mulva improves the financials (cost of capital), investors will reward him with a higher P/E. Also, oil will likely appreciate from the current $51/bbl .

Appears to be a great value at its current price. The fact that Warren Buffet recently decided to buy a large share is definitely a positive. It is a play and both oil and natural gas which both look to be good areas with the high energy demand for...

Sticking with this pick even though it's down 7% from my recommend date. If this drops below 60 bucks I'll buy more at the discount. I already own this under 60 and think for the long term this will be a good buy.

Near-term pan on almost all things commodities. Going a bit against the crowd on these but will use these pans as a reminder of how much they have gone down near-term to possibly nibble in select commodities plays on decent pullbacks. I won't be to...

More oil companies, heavily into refining which is short capacity, low PE ratio provides lots of up potential. Looking around low PE seems to be associated with risks in foreign investments. I don't think these risks are that high
