This is a long term pick, and it's probably going to screw up my CAPS score in the short term. But this thing is (a) a fad and (b) ludicrously over-valued. It might not tank massively, but it can't keep on outperforming the S&P forever with its one trick. Might not be today, might not be tomorrow, but a hard rain's gonna fall... and Crocs suck for keeping your feet dry.

So not a fad. Work in the healthcare industry. Can't beat these shoes for long hours on your feet. Healthcare workers swear by these shoes. They don't wear out like regular tennis shoes or nursing shoes. I think these are here to stay at least for the healthcare industry, so wouldn't count them out so quickly.

Great call Bravus. I will make sure and look for other fads to short since they usually drop out of favor very soon. THis stock wont come back, the company will not come back. Its a one trick pony and I hope people steer clear

The notion that a company that has created a huge marketing BRAND being a fad is utter nonsense. I submit this rational thought for you. When was the last time you've seen a publicly traded company who's product was approved by the U.S. Government for diabetic patients and who has built a BRAND so large that you can't turn on your television or read a newspaper without hearing something from this company on a daily basis? How you justify a company such as this being deemed as a 'FAD' is beyond me or any rational mind for that matter. If you don't like the company for arguable reasons, then don't invest your hard earned money with them. BUT, don't sit their and spew utter nonsense. Anyone that calls a multi billion dollar corporation who's built a huge brand name a FAD, has not done their homework and is blind to the facts that make up the simple concept of educated thinking.

It seems like every time I turn on my television or read a newspaper I hear something about Crocs stock going into the toilet. Great timing, you're the man.
