My train of thought is that commercial real estate is going to grow slowly over the years. There are a lot of vacant office spaces available, and the NAR is thinking the outlook for 2012 isn't going to improve much. I initially bought this at 2.15/share sometime in February (watched it more than double, and retrace to the 2.20 level). I feel confident that as the labor market improves (over many years) that companies will need to purchase real estate to make room for new employees. Sam Zell is also the Chairman. You want to have someone like him in the company because his entire fortune was made in real estate. He is one of the best at understanding the fundamentals of real estate, so it can only help this small cap company. The potential for dividends to return over the years has excited, and I look forward to buying shares in the future.
