The olympic games is likely to boost travel bookings significantly over the year. While the earthquake may cause travel to sag, the chinese reputation for being an emerging economy and host of the olympics will be on the line. China has marshaled the national resources to make the games a success, and they may do likewise to clean up quickly more so now than at any other time. CTRP also plans a strong advertising campaign in the airports this season to boost their image with travelers who may use them again later.
