$5 billion share buyback over the next 3 years, 20% increase in spending on oil exploration in 2007 while Conoco is decresing its spending. Owns 50% of 15 billion barrels of oil discovery in the Gulf of Mexico......I can go on and on about CVX but th...

Chevron is a great oil company. They make a mint whenever oil is above $30/barrel (which it is right now). Net profits of $5 billion in one quarter, WOW! Pays a dividend, and has a very attractive P/E ratio. This is a great stock to own unless yo...

Oil is always going to be a top pick as long as we continue to rely on this unrenewable resource. With the population continually growing, more and more people will be adding cars to the road that run off gasoline.

Chevron is the more aggressive in terms of exploration of the big majors (Exxon, Conoco). I like the CEO's constant assertion that this is a new world as far as oil goes. Chevron is generating a ton of cash and oil will continue to be scare and exp...

This pick is definitely long term. Oil companies have fluctuated all over the place but if you look at any oil company's price in the last five years, it's pretty hard to ignore the overall trend...up, up, and up. That's not to say there couldn't b...

I have watched this stock for over 50 years and have not been disappointed. Only wish that I purchased more at a few of the low points. We will only need more oil and it's products in the forseeable future. Chevron's interest and their investment pro...

We know there will be demand for oil from everywehere including China and India. Recent discovery of the biggest oil supply in Gulf of Mexico since Alaska's Prudhoe Bay and that Chevron has 50% stake in that oil tells me that they will have lot of s...

1. Management understands that the future lies in being a Global Energy Company not an oil company and most importantly, is making the transition by positioning itself in strategic joint ventures like Cobasys through Chevron Technology Ventures.2. ...

Major integrated oil companies seem to be largely immune to drops in the price of crude, at least in the short term. Part of this is likely due to long-term sales contracts, but it also has much to do with trading (upstream and downstream) and the f...
