There seems to be some confusion about this stock lately. DAI is Daimler, the German company making Mercedes-Benz and Maybach cars. As of summer of 2007, they have no relation to Chrysler anymore, having sold off Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep to Cerberus, a private equity group. Even freed of Chrysler and its problems, I still rate the stock as "Underperform" because it has gone up a lot in recent months and I don't see their current P/E of 34 as sustainable, given the chronically cyclical nature of the car industry.
