I held DAR for quite some time now and sold it at a health profit. However, I can't get over the fact that 25% of the businesses assets is goodwill and another substantial portion is intangible assets. I do understand the value of the distribution routes and I do understand they paid a premium for Griffin, but when intangibles dominate a manufacturers balance sheet, it makes me wonder, especially when you combine that with the substantial amount of debt they took on.
