Yes, I used to be thumbs-down on Dell -- and I got hammered for it, appropriately. After doing a bit of research, I realized that Dell is still making plenty of cash, that it knows why it lost its way in the past few years, and that it's smartly concentrating on ways to fix its maladies. I still don't love the company, and I consider its products lame and commoditized. But I think the stock might be a good value, and it seems like Dell is making a worthy effort to concentrate on superior pricing and customer service. We'll see if this pick turns out any better than my last one.
