There is a saying: If you live by the sword you die by the sword.

Dell is a live by the price, therefore will die by the price.

Dell has always said that it is extremely price competitive due to its direct model which brings efficiency within the supply chain. It is true, but other competitors with a much more profitable mix are optimizing the supply chain, plus margins for some HW within their portfolio are just eroding. Either they move into a market with more added value solutions or the commodity will just implode.
