Disney.....
I entered DIS through PIXR . I bought 50 shares 5/18/04 for $64 and never, ever spent a day in the red after that purchase. Doubled and split to 100 shares at some point and then DIS came along and gave me 230 shares at a cost basis of $13.93. Jackpot! woohooo....Well it was kind of cool even if I am not rich. What I like about DIS is not so much DIS itself as it is the lesson I learned that played out in front of my eyes. Buy right and sit tight. I struggled many times with my PIXR valuation and later my "keep or sell" the DIS deal decision. I have not sold a share and am happy with the Mouse House. I think I want to be in DIS for a long time as Iger has DIS moving in a positive direction. Not the stock I am use to (small caps my game) but the elephant in my portfolio and the dividend will do me some good and shore it up!
Go Micky!
