It's recent decision to drop the Voom HD channels has provoked rage amongst its premium customers. Yet, it is clear that Direct TV is outcompeting it by a wide margin in the middle market. It may be that with Verizon Fios and AT&T Uverse coming over the horizon plus with more competitive offerings from a number of cable companies that there is no longer a need for Dish.
