Their recent total sales falling short of expections might mean that the increased pricing pressure from not only other dollar stores but also the likes of Wal-Mart is taking hold. That may be looking to much into this slip from a good strong company, but I think this company has had it's run at least over the next year or 2. With the insiders selling off over the past 6 months, maybe they think so too.
I was in WalMart today. They had a "Dollar" section of shelves near the entrance, filled with dollar items dumped into bins. This does not compare to DLTR's clean, organized stores with real value in their merchandize. I went to DLTR and got 11 items of office supplies, for $11.00 plus tax, which at Office Depot or Wal- Mart would have cost more than $20.
