+ Watch DPS
on My Watchlist
North America’s No. 3 soda maker, Dr Pepper Snapple Group bottles and distributes an array of soda and juice brands.
I admit to a little bit of fortune telling here, but I think DPS is a bit of a sacrficial lamb for Cadbury. I've seen other posters mention Cadbury success--well, unloading your debt on a spinoff doesn't hurt!--But DPS pays the price. Combine that with the fact that most (if not all) of their brands are only in the Americas, and barely outside of the U.S., they are beholden to our increasingly crippled economy. I saw a Bull listing their varied brands, many of which I enjoy, but all those rolled together do not amount to a significant market share.Maybe it will stay sideways, but I'm going to call Bear on this one.
I'm into fortune telling as well! I predict that this underperform rating disappears tomorrow!
Motley Fool Glitch! This underperform pick was expired since June 4th! And yet here it still sits. (hence my earlier comment). Check his profile. The thing won't revert to the usual NS for expired picks.
