I picked up a few shares of this at $3.15, I buckled under all of the pressure!

I definitely view this as highly speculative and am comfortable loosing 100% of my capital in this "investment", thus the small percent of my real life portfolio tied up with this stock.

This trade is NOT based on whether or not they are going to get approval for their Surfaxin drug, while it has proved to be affective, I'm not in it for that reason. Simply put, this trade is based on the fact that their market cap is essentially too low for them to go back to clinical trials. It will be significantly higher come March/April.

I will be out of this before the "results" are do.

I doubled down today and now have a cost basis of $2.60. However (and this is a big however), DSCO is still only ~1% of my RL portfolio as there is substantial risk that this will end in a giant goose egg. So while it's good to be greedy when others are fearful, you certainly can loose your a** as well so be careful Fools! ;)

As a quick update, the premise of this "trade" still remains intact, eventually investors will bid this up in anticipation that Surfaxin will get approved. As I've said numerous times in the past, I will be long gone before the decision is made about Surfaxin. I don't care about future profits, just that other investors will get excited that maybe DSCO has got it all figured out this time.

The only thing that has changed recently is that the March/April time line has now been pushed back. DSCO should have their data submitted in Q3 2011; and an FDA decision sometime after that. Likely early 2012. But again, I'm not holding for "the decision", just until investors bid DSCO up in anticipation.

Also, DSCO had a large offering today (~$21M) so they have ample cash to maintain things while we wait another year or so.

The time has come for judgement day, an FDA decision is expected on March 6th. Hold onto your seatbelts boys and girls, this could get wild in the next month!

While Surfaxin is a decently good drug and there is applications to the medical field, I've never been confident that it will actually get approved. My plan from the very start, and continues to be today, was to ride this up during the bidding war that is likely to occur pre-FDA decision day. I likely will NOT hold onto this for the actual decision.

DSCO had a nice PR move recently with the approval of Afectair, while this isn't the game changing play the company is hoping for, certainly helps stir up a little interest right before game time!

Here is a recent SA piece with the highlights for DSCO: http://seekingalpha.com/article/383741-buy-discovery-labs-before-march-6-pdufa-date?source=yahoo

Basically a "pump" article but at least the author provides decent background and clearly states that there is substantial risk so I applaud him for that.

We've had a small run up so far with DSCO and looking for it to continue as the March 6th deadline approaches. Stay safe out there Fools!

As planned I sold out today in RL at 3.56 . I just don't have faith in DSCO to actually get FDA approval tomorrow, I preferred to lock in my gain.

I forgot to close this out in Caps today, but will tomorrow hopefully before the news breaks
