the book value and earning should value this stock at 30.00 when you compare it to similar companies

Duke is a leading company for energy needs in the growing southeast and seems to have a great managment team in place. The stock seems to be moving after the Spectra Energy spinoff. I see it trading somewhere near $30 by the fall of 2007.

I've held duke energy stock forever and have never been disappointed. As with any stock it has had ups and downs, but the positive far outweighs the negatives. I am very glad that I did not take my financial advisors advice to diversify!

Very good fundamentals. Very well run company. $34 in December/$18 in January. A lot of people lost a lot of money. Mild winter then. Now (Jan 20), not so much. AFTER CHRISTMAS SALE!! Buy NOW.
