My favorite utility. Buy it and forget. Steadly rising dividend and serves a region with rising population. Great alternative to bonds for income.

Even after the spinoff of SE, Duke is a bargain around $18. And a yield chasing 5% isn't so bad either.

Duke bought the wind power developement of Tierra Energy. Energy companies expanding in these areas is a place for me.

This is an interest play. It currently has about 5% dividend and the stock price has little fluctation. With interest rates going lower, the stock price should rise.
