only a bargain hunter knows where to find a bargain. i see some bumps along the way due to sellers and their issues. ebay is a service that is there to help you sell your goods, not rob you. stop crying and move on if you feel that they are to expensive, you do have a choice. bottom line i am a paypal supporter and ebay buyer. just because i wont sell anymore items on ebay, doesn't mean i wont shop there. all my electronics and car parts come from ebay and no one else compares to the prices they have! ebay is just trying to weed out the weak sellers and bring in the real earnings!

Excuse me, but you talk with fork tongue. In the first place you claim to be a buyer on ebay. And no longer sell on ebay. May I ask why you no longer sell on ebay? I too am a buyer..or was. A buyer pays nothing to ebay at all or to paypal either. It is zero cost to the buyer. On the other hand ebay thrives on MONEY from the sellers. Also besides the fees ebay charges, it's the gull to change the feedback system. It's the gull to hold payments from the seller up to 21 days....when in fact the seller has already paid for the shipping, which is outrages in costs. And the list goes on and on. Is that why you no longer sell on ebay?? You think the prices are going to still be cheap after May 2008?? Do you think the stock is going down now?? Wonder why?? Tell me, why is ebay fudging the listings?? LOL Ebay giving GM 600,000 free listings for used cars..why?? to raise the count of listings?? Not hard to figure that one. To make it look good to shareholders?? Why was inside trading so hot for ebay VIP's last year?? Did they know something..the outside traders did not know?? And the list goes on and on...HMMMM Time will only tell. You seem to speak rather sharp on your words..Yes, ebay is there with a service that sellers pay to use, not to be told how to run their business and to be graded like elementary school. And not to rob you..that is your opinion..not the sellers. The sellers are not crying...actually very teed off is the word. Far cry from crying. This not the end of the boycott..be prepared to look others places for YOUR bargains when prices go up or move onto other sites. Ebay will be in the used car business.................

I just want to add on to the top bull pitch here and say eBays leadership may be smarter than some people assumed when the new CEO recently took over. There listing discounts are now being SPONSORED by Monster. I am a powerseller on ebay so I have pretty intimate experience with ebays business models and they used to do listing promotions out of their own pockets. They are getting smarter. Granted this is one spectacular move, there may or may not be more great moves I don't see. But this looks great to me from the standpoint of evaluating ebay.

Amazon, Google, Yahoo and Overstock all look expensive compared to eBay. Who else compares? That said, sellers need help from eBay and buyers need lower prices.I own a fair amount of EBAY due to an unwanted (by me) acquisition of the startup I work for. But hey, an iffy acquisition deal for StubHub owners is a good deal for eBay owners, right? The funny thing is I actually bought some EBAY with my own money a month or so before I knew the deal was going down. As for the supposed sellers boycott, if a minority care enough about a service enough to boycott it, that says a lot doesn't it? They would go away quietly if they had somewhere else to go. I'm holding on to EBAY for the next 1~2 years. Go http://www.stubhub.com/ yay!BTW, anyone notice the new Buy.com deal going on? A ton of new listings have been added with preferential price treatment. This is good for eBay and the buyers. Sellers and eBay need to be more price sensitive on the whole to compete with Amazon et al.

The best bargains are on http://www.craigslist.com where not only does the buyer not pay any fees but the seller also posts for free. :)
