Craigslist will kick E-bay's butt. People deal locally on the internet these days because its cheaper.

How is it cheaper for someone to deal locally? Wouldn't they have to get into their SUV and drive across town to deal locally? What about almost half of the population that lives in rural areas? It would seem to me that getting items shipped to you would be much cheaper with gas prices the way they are.
