The holidays always result in an increase in auctions and increased bid prices. Which in return drives up ebay selling fees. You know what I mean if you've ever shopped on ebay around the holidays, everything goes for 50-100% more than usual.

Ebay can't help but to make money. Everyone loves a thrift market and as more and more trailer parks get high speed internet I expect that Ebay will continue to dominate the getting rid of your crap online / buying stuff you can't find anywhere else...
