At this point, it's pretty clear that corp spending is not going to tank. Storage is a key component of enterprise spending in good times and bad. EMC has cleaned up its act and is now delivering ~10% ROIC, with stronger FCF to follow. At 19x '08 EPS, 2.6x EV/Sales, and 3x book it's not exactly cheap. But strip out $16bln for VMW (80% of 20bln) and $6bln in cash ($22bln of EMC's $33bln mkt cap) and it starts to look very cheap.

Cramer owes it in his charitable trust. He hasn't said anything negative about it. I believe it is a good long stock, but my patience is running out. As of 2-14-08 EMC could start selling shares of VMW and I expected the stock to rise by the end of this month (2-2008) but its just sitting there. I don't know how to read the fundamentals.

I bought this stock in 2001 at 16.50 and added to my position on two dips in the last 3 months. I can't sell and won't unless the analysts or Cramer gives it the thumbs down. Where do you think this is going??
