Seems crazy to me, how this stock has gone up. No earnings, no identifiable sustainable competitive advantage, and it seems to be making some big expansionary investments (financed by debt, since it doesn't have any earnings) just at a time when the economy is moving into a "soft patch," if not a recession. I'm calling irrational exuberance on this one.

I agree. Not sure why any right-headed investor can be exuberant about this dog. What are we missing, Spectraman?Dave

I have followed this company from the beggining Dave, and all I can say is, "there is much more here than meets the eye". It is not as simple as you think. It is not a dog,and time is the only thing that can prove that now.

Wake up! Earning are funneled into an aggressive build out. Equinix is now world wide Read ASIA, SOUTH PACIFIC, EUROPE, and of course AMERICA - coast to coast / boarder to boarder. Huge competitive advantage - companies housed inside the datacenters can cross communicate thus eliminating outside security risks and massive increases in bandwidth over traditional internet. We no longer can do without the internet and Equinix is poised to capitalize on this and take a Kings, err, Kingdoms ransom.
