This is the year that Madden actually becomes a next gen game. Last year the output of the next gen maddens was a sad display of what the systems could do. EA caught some major negative reviews and press from all important reviewing companies. This year is a different story. Companies are excited with the makeover the game has gone through. EA didn't focus on coming up with new modes to play, they focused on what's important gameplay and authenticity of the game. From the sample demos and previews companies have seen, this game will drive the sports gaming industry yet again. With the lowering of the PS3 price and the strong performance of the XBOX 360 already there should be big sales in the next gen segment. Not to mention everyone who still has a PS2 or XBOX will buy the 08 game as usual.
